Acrylic painting on stretched canvas (36x36 in). This semi-abstract composition is my interpretation of a trip through the landscapes and vistas of western Texas and New Mexico. Cacti shapes dominate the scene and become puzzle-like. The artist Jean Dubuffet is an influence for this piece. The teal color of the background wraps around the 1.5 inch depth of the canvas making it unnecessary to add a frame.
