Jumble
Acrylic painting on stretched canvas (36x36 in). The design and concept of this painting has to do with how shapes and colors interact with each other to provide a vibrant composition. Much of the influence for this work comes from the artist Jean Dubuffet, a longtime favorite of mine. The painting starts out with thick black lines that move here and there and provide landing areas for color. It’s abstract for sure but sometimes a form may suggest a real world object. The edges or depth of the painting 1.5 inches and is painted the same color as the yellow background and can be hung as is without a frame. Hanging hardware is installed and ready to be hung.
